I am an interaction designer, an analytical thinker and an urban normad.

I love the process of translating product strategy and consumer insights into digital experiences for all. I have innovated alongside researchers and designers at Continuum to make the future real, worked on Design Systems at VMware , organized and led the design effort for Polyhack at Tufts, and founded a design studio with three other friends. I will be joining VMware as a Product Designer in July, 2018.

I spent five years commuting between Tufts and SMFA to pursue my degrees in Studio Art and International Relations. I also spent six months abroad studying Interaction Design at Central Saint Martins, London. The constant moves and changes in my life turned me into a bit of an urban normad. I have lived in three different continents and five cities, and the list continues to grow. Currently, I am excited to explore the Bay Area and soak in some Vitamin D.

Clarity Web Builder is the first sample application using Clarity Design System

In the summer of 2017, I worked as a UI/UX design intern on Project Clarity at VMware. I designed Clarity Web Builder, which creates web pages that follow Clarity design guidelines. In a span of eight weeks, I conducted user research, compiled competitive analysis, went through design iterations, designed and conducted user testing sessions. The project will be one of the first Sample apps for the Clarity Design System.

Improve the MBTA information dispersal system for passengers with hard of hearing

Commissioned by Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, I worked with a team of five to create an iOS application user interface that is aimed at assisting all passengers with MBTA navigation and communication, but with a particular focus on passengers from both the deaf and hard of hearing communities. This is a project for a course at Tufts, Human Factors in Product Design.

Design a friendly healthcare app that doesn't turn users away

I worked as a UI/UX Designer for a healthcare startup that aims to empower guys to achieve their best in life through improved health. The 16-week long program requires users to complete 6 different weekly tasks alongside 2 other optional actions. My responsibility was to create user flow and interface designs that ensure users will complete the tasks without being too demanding.

Reframing Fear

I explored how people could view the same matter in two perspectives in the form of a screenprinted poster with a zig-zag fold. The design shows how we might reframe fear into a source of love and courage.

This illustrations series is a product of my interest in people watching. Starting in the summer of 2014, I captured passengers in subways in Shanghai, Boston and New York to document my commute. I have launched an illustration book of the series. The second books is currently in the making.

As one of the founding members, I created the branding guideline for Bean + Co and designed the website for the agency. Aligned with our mission to make brilliant ideas soar and collaborate with clients, the Bean + Co brand is passionate, friendly and bold.

Get to Moodle

Digital | Experimental

In response to a brief to design a way-finding system, I created a game that web design principles by directing users from Google to Moodle, an educational management website in the UK. Throughout this journey, users have to rely on their instincts to get to the next step since all text has been obscured. The project intends to remind people the invisible principles in interaction design by forcing them to evaluate their importance in the absence of text.

Forever Fast Food Company

Creative Direction | Installation

As an advocate for sustainable fashion, I explored the consequences of fast fashion in this project. I found abandoned clothes that were perfect wearable in a discard bin and disguised them into meal packages from a fast food chain. The analogy between fast fashion and fast food is intended to remind viewers of the ethical and environmental consequences of fast fashion consumption.
